Supermodel's thoughts on becoming a model.
My Modeling Inspirations
I have two inspirations - Iman and Grace Jones. They're both strong, amazing women with very different modeling styles.

Iman is known, of course, for doing a lot of super-glam high fashion shoots. Her look is aqualine and intrinsically Somalian. She still does runway on occasion, but has diversified her modeling clout into her own makeup line, Iman Cosmetics, as well as many charitable causes. Parisian couturier Yves St. Laurent praised her look, along with fashion editors the world over. Iman looks incredible in bright colors, striking silhouettes and complex forms.

Now, Ms. Jones...I call her "Ms.", because she might get you if you don't give respect...is fashion's wildest woman. Kate Moss can try to be out there with her crazy, but she can't top Grace. For years, she did high fashion shoots, but always acted and did music. Today, she performs and records, taking no prisoners. Unlike Iman, she does best with avant-garde fashion; she costumes, more than dresses, herself.

Modeling inspiration can come from different quarters. I find that the best inspiration derives from those that are more than the sum product of their agencies or magazine covers. Instead, the most potent faces have the richest stories behind them.
