How to Apply Make Up to Make a Nose Look Slimmer

SUPPLIES

  • 2 makeup sponges
  • Dark foundation
  • Light foundation
  • Translucent powder

A large nose can make you feel unattractive or insecure about your appearance. Using the proper techniques, you can shrink the perceived size of your nose. Use dark makeup colors to minimize large facial features and make the area recede. Shimmery and light makeup colors help draw attention to other areas.

Step 1

Apply a base foundation that complements the undertone and color of your skin.

Step 2

Along each side of your nose, use a makeup sponge to apply foundation that is two shades darker than your normal foundation. .

Step 3

Use another makeup sponge to apply foundation that is two shades lighter than your normal color down the center of your nose, all the way down to the tip. Blend the foundations together.

Step 4

Brush a strip of translucent powder down the length of your nose. Blend it into your foundation.

Step 5

Apply a dot of dark foundation around each of your nostrils. Blend it in well. This dark shading will make your nostrils appear smaller. Apply a dot of the darkest foundation to the center of the bottom of your nose. Blend in this foundation.

Step 6

Apply the darkest foundation to each side of the bridge of your nose to slenderize your nose bridge. Blend it into the rest of your foundation.

TIPS AND WARNINGS

  • TIP : As you apply foundation, keep lightly blending so that the colors blur into each other. This will remove any obvious signs of makeup lines.
