Overview
Adult modeling is also referred to as erotic modeling or nude modeling. Major magazines such as Playboy and Penthouse recruit new faces for their publications on a daily basis as they search for the next big thing in adult modeling. To become an adult model, a person must be in good shape physically, between the ages of 18 and35 and willing to pose nude.
Step 1
Prepare photos to send to various adult modeling agencies. Nude or provocatively posed photos are best, and they must give an accurate portrayal of your appearance, meaning no Photoshopping or airbrushing.
Step 2
Submit your photos to adult modeling agencies or directly to adult magazines like Playboy and Hustler. Many adult men's magazines accept amateur and professional photos from aspiring models directly.
Step 3
Relocate to major adult modeling cities like Los Angeles, Miami and New York. Your chances of becoming an adult model will be much greater if you move to these major cities that offer more job opportunities and exposure for aspiring adult models. Los Angeles is the home of many adult magazines like Playboy, Penthouse and Hustler. Miami and New York also offer adult modeling opportunities.
Step 4
Get representation. Sign with an adult modeling agency to increase your chances of getting work. A modeling agent will help you find jobs by exposing you to potential clients in the adult modeling market.
Step 5
Network to gain exposure and more work opportunities. Go to adult modeling conventions that are held about once a year, where you will meet more agents, producers, magazine editors and other potential clients. Networking is crucial for an adult model to gain recognition and lucrative modeling jobs.
