Overview

how agent london : Overview
Much like New York City, London is a great place to be if you want to have a career in the modeling industry. London has a large fashion and modeling scene that attracts well-known models and photographers. London is a hot spot for modeling, and you will find several modeling agencies located in London. If you are looking to enter the modeling industry in London and are interested in getting yourself an agent, there are steps you can take to make that happen sooner rather than later.

Step 1

Prepare your portfolio by getting your head shots professionally done. While you should have hard copies of these for auditions, you will also want to put them up on a website.

Step 2

Attend any open casting calls in the area. Having relevant work experience in the industry is also more likely to get you a meeting with an agent as it shows that you are serious about working as a model.

Step 3

Study up on the agencies that are in the area, and pay close attention to their client list. Look for an agency that has clients doing work similar to what you do or want to do so that you know you will be a good fit for it.

Step 4

Call local agencies and ask if they are taking on any new clients. Do not set your sights on the biggest agencies as they are typically the least likely to take on unsolicited clients. You can also just stop by the agencies.

Step 5

Invite agents to a runway show in which you will be modeling. Be sure to give the agent at least 3 weeks' notice of the show. Include your head shot and resume with the invite as well as details on how the agent can pick up tickets.
