Overview

how become lot 29 model : Overview
Lot 29 is an increasingly popular urban hip-hop line of clothing. Top models display the fashionable shirts, hoodies and jeans in magazines, commercials and online advertisements. Lot 29 models are youthful, and possess a slender and athletic physique. Lot 29 rarely employs novice models, but does work with professional modeling agencies through casting calls.

Step 1

Take photos for your portfolio. Work with the best professional photographer your budget allows. Showcase apparel from either Lot 29, or clothes from the Southpole parent company. Pose with non-distracting backgrounds, with photos taken in both color, and black and white. Lot 29 will expect to see models wearing clothes representative of all four seasons, including footwear selections.

Step 2

Create a resume, focusing on experience and training, for the portfolio. Amateur modeling or acting experience can be included in the list of accomplishments for new models.

Step 3

Enter the Fushion Magazine Lot 29 model search contest. Fushion Magazine hosts an annual "Next Top Model" contract with the Southpole clothing line, which includes Lot 29 apparel. Menswear and women's junior-style clothing will be worn in the photo shoots and contest promotions. Enter online through fushionmagazine.com (see Resources). Model photos are displayed online, with website visitors voting for their favorite new faces. Two Southpole fashion executives select a male and female winner, from the top 250 highest-voted contestants. The winners each receive a modeling contract with Southpole and Lot 29. Two runner-ups each receive $250 worth of Southpole apparel, and a fashion brand goodie bag.

Step 4

Register at models.com (see Resources). Registration is free of charge. You can submit portfolios for consideration to multiple agencies with just a few clicks of the mouse. Top modeling agencies such as Ford, Elle, Kult and Chic are all members of the models.com service. Models are ranked by popularity by site visitors, and through agency service and feedback. Spotlight links are posted weekly and monthly, offering an additional showcase for registered members.

Step 5

Familiarize yourself with the Lot 29 and Southpole brand before submitting a portfolio or responding to an open casting session. Fashion reviewers will question models on their knowledge of the brand, history of the company and the style influence the brand represents.

TIPS AND WARNINGS

  • TIP : Make-up, hair, skin complexion and airbrushed tanning also enhance the smooth and flawless image Lot 29 seeks in cover and print models. Airbrush tanning prior to modeling swimsuits should be allowed to completely dry.
