What does it take to land a job as an Abercrombie model? Hard work, good genes, and a commitment to modeling for a start. Abercrombie and Fitch hires two types of models for their company. Store models provide customer service at local Abercrombie shops. Brand models appear on company advertisements, publications, posters, and shopping bags. Established in 1892, Abercrombie and Fitch is an American clothing retailer with stores in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K.

Step 1

Do your research. Browse through past issues of A&F Quarterly to get a sense of what Abercrombie models look like.

Step 2

Apply for a job at a local Abercrombie store or one of its affiliates(abercrombie kids, Hollister, Ruehl No. 925, or Gilly Hicks). Only current Abercrombie employees are allowed to become brand models for the company.

Step 3

Fill out a submission form for model casting. A link to this form is provided under the "Additional Resources" section of this article. You will need to provide a few digital pictures of yourself to apply.

Step 4

Attend a casting call. Speak to your store manager about casting times and get signed up for the call.

Step 5

Prepare for the casting call. Once you are registered for the casting, practice your interviewing skills and choose an outfit to wear to the call.

  • TIP : You must be 18 or older to become a brand model for Abercrombie. Eat right and stay fit. Any type of model needs to exercise and stay healthy.
