Overview

how become model england : Overview :
England is one of the top fashion and modeling countries in the world along with the U.S., Italy and France. Some of the biggest names in modeling, like Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, started their modeling careers in England. Also, major British brands like Burberry and Rimmel prefer employing British models so the opportunities for a model to work in England are actually quite high.

Step 1

Prepare some modeling photos. You should have at least three photos: one close-up of your face not smiling, one close-up smiling and one full body shot. The photos can be in color or black-and-white, but they must not be over- or underexposed and must give an accurate portrayal of your appearance.

Step 2

Contact agencies in England. Some of the top modeling agencies in England are IMG, Storm and Next, and they're all located in London. Send your photos via email or regular mail. Some agencies even allow you to upload your photos directly onto their websites. Contact as many agencies as possible because you never know which one may reply with interest.

Step 3

Consider moving to London. Most of the major modeling agencies in England are located in London. If you are serious about having a modeling career, it is to your advantage to relocate to London where you will have more job opportunities and get more exposure.

Step 4

Get representation. A modeling agent will be able to get you tons of work and exposure than if you navigated the modeling landscape on your own. Agents are personally contacted by clients looking for models so if you fit the description for a particular brand, your agent will immediately send you to a casting. Signing with a modeling agency is the first step to getting your own modeling agent.

Step 5

Go to lots of castings and go-sees. Castings and go-sees are brief interviews with potential clients in which you meet with agents, designers, and other important people face to face. The clients are able to see exactly what you look like and determine if they'd like you to represent their brand or company. You never know which casting or go-see will be your lucky break or lead to a great job.

TIPS AND WARNINGS

  • TIP : Make sure to take good care of your physique, hair, skin and teeth. A model must always be photo-ready.
  • WARNING : Don't sign with any modeling agency that asks for money upfront. This is a scam.
