Child ModelingSUPPLIES
- 8-by-10 photos, one showing the face and another showing the whole body
Overview
Limited Too hires many child models for its catalogs and advertisements. However, you can't simply apply to the store to become one. You must be chosen for one of their campaigns through a modeling agency. (Note: Limited Too has become Justice.)
Step 1
Search the Better Business Bureau site for a list of reputable modeling agencies in your area. Then contact them to find out if they take children and how to get signed.
Step 2
Study the Justice website to learn the company's desired look---note hairstyle, clothes. The current look includes long, wavy or curly hair, low side ponytails, open-mouthed smiles and no visible makeup.
Step 3
Take photos that look similar to those used on the website, being careful to include a whole body shot as well as a facial shot, to show to modeling agencies.
Step 4
Tell the agency that signs you that you want to be a Justice model so it can get you into those go-sees.
Step 5
Ask the company where its next photo shoot will be taking place and what agency it will be going through. Use the contact link on the Justice website to help you email, phone or call. The company is based in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio.
TIPS AND WARNINGS
- TIP : Have an open mind---there are lots of fun stores that hire models.
- WARNING : Justice specifically states on its website that it does not hire its own models, so do not contact them to ask about becoming a model.
