How to prepare a modeling portfolio
Modeling portfolios do not need to be professionally created for consideration by a talent agency. A quality camera and photo paper can be used to create a simple portfolio for admission consideration. Review portfolio size requirements for the desired agency, and browse sample photos typically available on agency websites. Pose the child in various backgrounds, including outdoor and indoor areas. Both casual and fashionable dress clothes should be included in the portfolio. Purchase a photo binder from a photography or department store, and insert photos. Do not glue or permanently attach the photos to the binder. If possible, include a resume or background of experience and training with the portfolio to showcase the talent of the child model.
