Do You Need Perfectly Clear Skin to Become a Model?

Overview

do need perfectly clear skin become model? : Overview
While the image of models are 6-foot tall, flawless humans with beautiful, clear skin and healthy hair, the reality is that models are needed in all shapes and sizes with good or bad skin to advertise different products to real people.

Agencies

It is important to find an agency willing to work with you. Do some research on local agencies in your area. If you are nervous about your skins condition, don't worry! On every shoot there is a makeup artist. Photoshopping or airbrushing commonly takes place on every photo. Everyone gets pimples, even Angelina Jolie! Don't worry about it too much and concentrate on getting work!

Modeling Schools

Modeling schools can be a great way to build your confidence and learn about the modeling industry. The two most well-known one are Barbizon and John Casablancas. You can find your local school by going to their website (see resources). These two modeling schools also have agencies attached, so you might be able to find work while studying. The tuition fees can vary for each school depending on the classes you take.

Physical Appearance

It is important to take care of your physical appearance if you are serious about modeling. Too much makeup can seriously deter a client from working with you, because they will not be able to see what you look like naturally. Speak to your agent before heading to a casting to find out what criteria the client is looking for.

Researching Clients

It is important to research any potential clients that might be interested in your style. For example, skin care production companies might be interested in doing a before and after shoot. It is imperative that you attend all castings and put your best face forward!

Confidence

The most important asset a model can have is confidence in herself. A model that walks into a room confidently will demand attention, not through outlandish fashion or makeup, but with good poise and posture. Presenting yourself well will speak volumes about you. Even if you are feel shy and embarrassed about your skin, good self-confidence can make clients look past it.
