how become model forever 21 : Overview
Forever 21 is a well-known store whose target market is women in their teens and 20s. They currently have three brands of clothing Forever 21, Heritage 1981, and Twelve by Twelve. They are also scheduled to launch a fourth brand, called Faith 21, in May, 2009. Faith 21 will be a plus-sized line, which will broaden their requirements for fashion models. Forever 21's ads resemble those of high fashion and their models are styled accordingly.

How to Become a Model for Forever 21

Step 1

Study Forever 21's style. You will want to study Forever 21's model, clothes, and poses. One of the things required of models is to embody the look required by the company you are working for. This means you will need to emulate a Forever 21 model to show the company you have the right look for them. Study their website; you can learn a lot from the photos. Take note of the models' different poses while modeling certain brands or lines of clothes. Then practice these poses in the mirror.

Step 2

Create a modeling portfolio. Hire a photographer and a makeup artist, if you don't want to do your own makeup, and create photo shoots to build a portfolio. Models' portfolios should showcase a wide range of poses and moods, but you will want to make sure that you have some centered around Forever 21. This means shoot some photos in the style Forever 21 uses for their models. Make sure you are wearing Forever 21 clothes when you are shooting these photos.

Step 3

Get an agent. According to Forever 21's website they will not work with models directly. They work with top modeling agencies like Wilhelmina Models and AIG Model Management. Send head shots and and resumes to these agencies to try to land an agent. Let your agent know that you are extremely interested in modeling for Forever 21.

Step 4

Take other modeling jobs. Go to open casting calls and try to land other jobs. It's not likely that you'll walk in off the street and land modeling gigs with major companies. Take other jobs in the meantime. The more work you do the more you gain experience and build your portfolio.

TIPS AND WARNINGS

  • TIP : Stay focused and determined. Becoming a model doesn't happen overnight; you really have to work for it.
