Overview

how become model kmart : Overview
Kmart is part of the Sears Holding Corporation and is a department store that is a household name. Kmart carries a wide variety of name brands, which makes it a great place for numerous types of models to get their start. Getting a job as a Kmart model is just as hard as getting modeling jobs at other stores. It's hard, but not impossible! Read on to find out how.

How to Become a Model for Kmart

Step 1

Study Kmart ads. Get a feel for how their models pose, the way they hold their faces and how they look. Modeling requires you to emulate the look the client wants. Practice these looks and poses until you feel confident you have them right.

Step 2

Build a portfolio. A modeling portfolio contains photos from your best photo shoots. Hire a photographer and create your own photo shoots that simulates Kmart's style. Make sure you are wearing clothing from Kmart in these photos, then place the best photos in your portfolio.

Step 3

Get an agent. You can find an agent in your area by looking online for a modeling agency in your area. Most modeling agencies are in large cities, so you might need to search in the nearest big city. With department store modeling you don't have to work with a high profile modeling agency, but you should find a small or local agency to represent you. Make sure to tell your agent you are interested in modeling for Kmart.

Step 4

Attend casting calls. You can either attend open casting calls or casting calls the agent refers you to. Casting are normally nationwide and many companies attend them as well as many models. While department stores like Kmart will be at casting calls, you could potentially book other jobs as well.

Step 5

Take other modeling gigs. This is necessary to build your portfolio and gain work experience. The more modeling experience you have, the easier it will be to land the gigs you want.

TIPS AND WARNINGS

  • TIP : Always present yourself as a professional, you don't have to let someone know you are new to modeling unless they ask.
