how become under wear model : Overview
If you have a certain look and a great body, you might be able to become an underwear model. But there's more to underwear modeling than just a pretty face and a good physique. There's also a lot of networking involved. If you want to become an underwear model, follow these steps outlined in this article.

Step 1

Before you can even consider becoming an underwear model, you must get into great shape. The first step is to create and stick to a strict workout routine. This routine should include a moderate amount of cardio, such as running, biking or swimming, and a lot of weight training, such as bench presses, leg lifts and squats.

Step 2

Develop a nutrition regimen. This should include a balanced amount of protein, carbohydrates and vegetables. Eat five to six small meals per day, in regular intervals. Consider adding protein shakes to your diet, consuming them especially within 30 to 60 minutes after a workout.

Step 3

Contract with a photographer for headshots and a comp card. Headshots are pictures that highlight your face and display an element of your personality. These days, most headshots are printed in color. Comp cards are small, postcard-like marketing pieces that display several images from your portfolio including a full-size portrait on the front and your height, weight and measurements. It also should include several pictures on the back from your portfolio, including a swimsuit shot and a formal shot.

Step 4

Next, send your headshot, comp card, resume and a cover letter to agencies. You can find a list of agencies online or call an agency and inquire about how to find a listing. Many cities have books that detail a list of agencies throughout the city.

Step 5

Once you land an agent, it is up to her to find you work. Detail to her that you want to become an underwear model. She may have some recommendations as to how you could better position yourself for such a career.

TIPS AND WARNINGS

  • TIP : Consider hiring a personal trainer and nutritionist to help keep you in optimal shape.
  • WARNING : If an agency asks you to pay a fee upfront, run away. Some agencies try to scam prospective clients by forcing them to pay for their services. Agents should merely take a percentage of any work they find you.
