Overview

how become foot model : Overview
Have you ever seen advertisements for foot products and wondered how you can get your beautiful feet in those ads? Becoming a foot model is much like becoming a hand model. Unfortunately, there aren't as many foot-modeling jobs available. To enter this field, you need to have something different to bring to the table.

Step 1

Take care of your feet. This is the most basic step, because without nice feet you can't have a good foot-modeling career (besides posing for the "before" pictures). Because the foot-modeling field is highly competitive, agencies only choose the best. Avoid blisters of any kind. If you get one, pop it with a cuticle nipper and apply hydrogen peroxide and a Band-Aid. Avoid getting burned and having tan lines by using sunblock. Avoid calluses by using a pumice stone every day to scrape away dead skin cells. Finally, avoid contact with dirt whenever possible by carrying baby wipes and wearing closed-toe shoes with socks.

Step 2

Take pictures of your feet. Either you or a friend can get a Polaroid or digital camera and start taking pictures of your feet. Try positioning your feet in poses you see in magazines. Pick a toenail polish that flatters your skin tone and makes a statement. Agencies are always looking for something different and daring that will make your feet stand out from the rest.

Step 3

Find a reputable modeling agency. Most modeling agencies do not have a separate hand or foot modeling department. Research the agencies you find through the Better Business Bureau, too. Unfortunately, there are plenty of agencies out there that are covers for porn operations or illegal activity, so take care in choosing.

Step 4

Make an appointment. Once you've done the research and narrowed your choices down to a few agencies, make appointments to visit each one. Tell them you have a great portfolio of new and exciting shots of your feet. If the photos weren't taken professionally, be honest. Even though they aren't professionally done, you can tell them you mimicked current poses and included ideas of your own. If you get turned down, don't hesitate to keep trying.

TIPS AND WARNINGS

  • WARNING : Foot models can make about $500 dollars a day, but that's only if they are in high demand.
